No, Luke and Sarah are not a husband-and-wife team. They are the only brother/sister team in the Prudential Preferred Realty network!
The fine reputation of their father, Frank Madia, a premier builder in the North Hills (Madia Homes Inc.), has formed a firm foundation for their success.
Luke earned his Real Estate License while a senior in High School – to do Open Houses for his dad – and then entered into the Real Estate Business full-time right out of college in 2003.
Sarah joined him 3 years later, right out of her field of Graphic and Web Design for an advertising agency. She was looking for a career change and really liked the aspects of her job that put her in front of clients. Real Estate seemed a perfect fit for her, like it was for her brother.
Needless to say, New Construction has been the forte’ of the Madia Team, but resale plays a part in their business too.
Social interaction and networking are Luke’s secrets to success. Sarah’s energy and creative skills, and a lot of hard work on her part and Luke’s, all combine to produce a winning team that now includes an assistant.
They advise all agents to build a strong foundation of contacts, provide superior customer service, be honest, and allow your referral base to build.
As far as 2009 being a down market? They feel like they never worked in an “up” market, so they feel success can be achieved in any market. Do things you enjoy, and meet lots of people while you’re at it.
Personally, Sarah is enjoying her passion for the Arts (she was an Art Major!) – and she enjoys photography as a creative outlet. Luke is a proud newlywed of 1 year.
